Sharla J. Frost was born in Paris, Texas and grew up across the Red River in Frogville, Oklahoma. A fourth generation Frogvillian on one side of the family and a fifth on the other, she comes from a long line of storytellers. She took those storytelling genes and put them to use as a trial lawyer for more than 30 years.
Her professional achievements include being recognized by Chambers Partners for her trial skills, being recognized by Best Lawyers as the 2018 Houston Lawyer of the Year (Products Liability Litigation-Defendants), being recognized as a Texas SuperLawyer every year from 2005 to 2020, and serving as the President of Litigation Counsel of America, among other honors. She has also been active in the National Association of Women Lawyers, including repeat service on the Supreme Court Nominee Evaluation Committee.
The first lawyer in the family, Sharla found that getting through law school was just the first hurdle to professional success. Practicing law while female presented many challenges, including the unanticipated (and undisclosed) need to develop her own clients. Fortunately, she had a knack for connecting with clients as well as for talking to juries. However, she found that there were few resources to guide her in the process of developing clients. Her process was trial and error. After retiring from the courtroom, she decided to write the guide to business development that she would have liked to have had when she was developing her own marketing strategy. That successful guide is Power at the Table.
Sharla is a highly sought after expert witness, speaker and career coach. She is actively engaged in the legal industry, works directly with clients and travels throughout the U.S. making presentations, consulting and providing expert testimony on high impact cases.
When not writing or consulting, Sharla spends much of her time relaxing at Frogsailles (pronounced Frog Sigh), her cattle ranch near Frogville. She also runs both an event center and a small mercantile in Fort Towson, Oklahoma. In her spare time, she runs ReCreate Fort Towson, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that supports revitalization efforts in her neighborhood.

Four Term Mayor of Essex Fells, New Jersey
Sharla has a way of commanding the room just with her presence. Her message is strong and impactful, and yet she is such a calm introspective person. I learned a lot from her before she ever even spoke a word. That is powerful.
I saw Sharla speak at a business conference I was attending. She knows her stuff and communicates it in a way that is effective and easy to implement. She is a thoughtful speaker. You can really tell she puts a lot into her preparation and her audience. Great speaker!
Sharla's speech was great! I came away with a renewed sense of hope and a mind shift that I am in charge of my success, and that I make things happen, not wait for them to happen. Being resilient and making meaningful connections really does make a difference.
